RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Class participation is limited to members only. Guests must be invited, and must remain seated and quiet during class sessions. Remember, this is a private club (most JFFAA kwoons are operated as private clubs).
   
2. Membership is limited to a certain number of members. When enrollment is at full capacity, all of those interested in training will be placed on a waiting list. Applicants will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis.
   
3. Members must be on time for class. If you are late, you will step just inside the doorway of the training area and await the acknowledgement of the instructor, at which time you will execute a half salute. Then you may enter the class in session. No one will nonchalantly walk in a class in session and step onto the training floor! This is disrespectful to the instructor in charge and also your fellow students!
   
4. When an instructor is talking, all students are to stand in a respectful position and give your undivided attention to that instructor. If you are in doubt as to what a respectful position is, ask! Do not sit down unless you are told to do so!
   
5. Before making use of any piece of equipment, be sure that you know how to use it properly. If in doubt, do not touch it! If you do use a piece of equipment, be sure that you put it back in its proper place! When working with a mook jong, be sure to remove all rings, bracelets, watches, etc.! Dummy arms are useless once scratched, and are quite expensive to replace! If you scratch it, you pay for it! It’s just that simple!
   
6. All members are expected to purchase the proper training clothes within a month from the time they are accepted for membership! You are expected to show up clean and neatly dressed for class! Personal hygiene should be greatly emphasized! No one likes to train with a human stink bomb! Use deodorant, please! Remember, when you come to class you are representing your kwoon, your instructor, and the memory of JKD's Founder! Be respectful and respectable!
   
7. Members are required to wear long pants, Academy T-shirts and athletic shoes to all classes and seminars. No shorts allowed! Shoes should be of good quality so they do not mark the floors! Cross trainers are best. No K-Mart blue light specials, please! Your feet should be worth more to you than that! (Some Instructors may have variances in this policy.)
   
8. All members and guests are to observe the fact that no smoking is allowed anywhere in or around the building! If you smoke at all, it will slow your progress in gung fu! No drinking of alcoholic beverages is allowed on or around the premises! No illegal drug use by members, period! Also, no gum chewing while training (jaw is more vulnerable to breakage, also possible choking)! Take care of your body and it will be better prepared to take care of you! Sifu Davis takes a very dim view when it comes to those who train in Jeet Kune Do, yet continue to abuse their body with tobacco, alcohol and drugs! This is not tolerated in this organization!
   
9. All members must pay dues on time, IN CASH! A late fee of $10.00 is applied to anyone who is late paying their dues! No exceptions to this rule!
